Exhibition closes end of Friday 7th March 2014

The selected exhibition by Members of the Eastern Region Textile Forum, comes to an end this week.  If you've not seen it, do go along.  Interpretation of the title has been varied and exciting, with many pieces sold and commissions taken.

IMPORTANT UPDATE

Forthcoming Exhibition - Members details of the forthcoming Exhibition in 2014 have now been added to the ERTF website.  All the paperwork is there, under the Members' Section - Exhibitions.  Do please look at it, full timetable of deadlines included.  You will need to log in to gain access.

November Conference - Our guest speaker for the Conference on 16th November 2013 is Jacqueline Hyman.  The subject of the day is historical textiles and conservation.  There will be a talk: "Buried Textile Treasures - Discoveries from Medieval Egypt" - plus the chance for you to bring/show and receive advice re conservation of your own Textile Treasures.  The venue is Hemingford Golf Club Conference Complex, Cambs.   Full information will appear on the website nearer the time, but please mark your diaries now.  Open to Members and Non Members.

New Website - At the moment we have a new website for the ERTF under construction, it is anticipated that this will be ready soon.  Announcements will be made in due course.

Conferences and Exhibition

Saturday's Conference was an enjoyable event, I will shortly be posting photos from the day onto the ERTF website.  The Members Shop, Cornucopia, also provided the chance not only to buy but also to see the range of textile skills and interests our Members have.
Our next Conference is in planning, those of you who are eagle eyed may well have spotted that the title has already been added on the righthand menu, and onto the home page of the website: "Marketing Your Artwork".
Further information and ticket details will be made known as soon as possible, so do keep checking back.  Please mark those new 2013 diaries with the date 20th April 2013, Girton College, Cambridge.  The Conference is open to Members and Non Members, we look forward to you joining us.

The next jury selected Exhibition "Eastern Images" is in planning for 2014, again headline details can be found on this blog in the righthand menu, and on the home page of the website.  I will also shortly be adding up to date information on this event to the website, as announced at the Conference.  The full information for the Exhibition criteria, dates, deadlines, costs etc are due to be announced at the April 2013 Conference.  However, you can start designing and making right now.  Any questions on the Exhibition, please email:  exhibitions1@ertf.org.uk
Reminder please, that this is a Members Only Exhibition,  however, we very much welcome you to join us as Members, and to join in the exhibition process.  New Membership is required at or by 20th April 2013 (through to end of March 2014) in order to participate in the selection process.  If you have any questions on Membership please email:  membership1@ertf.org.uk

I can announce to you the date and location of our next Selected Exhibition.  The title of which has already been known to you all for a while: 'Eastern Images'.  Please make a note in your diaries:

There will be criteria to be met for selection, and, importantly, immovable deadlines which you will need to comply with.  Full information will be with you as soon as practical.  However in the meantime the above gives you time to start planning.
