Royal Academy - Summer Exhibition applications

The Royal Academy Summer Exhibition will be held in London from 14 June to the 22 August. This is the time of year when they are asking artists to apply for a place at this prestigious event.

So check out their website at www.royalacademy.org.uk - you have until mid-March to do so.

Tapestry Weaving Workshop-Craft Arena

Friday 26th February 2010

2.00 pm to 4.00 pm

£30 per person

Using a simple frame, learn the basic techniques of this centuries old craft which can be used in its own right as an art form, as a background to textile art and stitch and to make bags, scarves etc. With Joan Young.

Feltmaking with the lFA - beginners

The International Feltmakers are running an afternoon workshop aimed at beginners but everyone will be welcome regardless of what previous experience you have.

20th February 1.30-5.30pm
in Walthamstow, the venue is just a short walk from Walthamstow Central Station…plenty of trains, buses and underground!
