I came across the following article by Carol Naylor. Given the ERTF's forthcoming Exhibition the selection process involved, I thought it worth passing on here. Lots of good common sense, practical information. Please click HERE for the article courtesy of TextileArtist.org

Cambs/Beds Region
Our next visit will be to The Manor, Hemingford Grey on Thursday
30th May. We will meet in the morning and spend time in the beautiful garden sketching
and photographing the wonderful collection of old roses and irises - usually in
full bloom in May/June.
We will have a shared picnic by the river and at 2.30 a tour of the
amazing and atmospheric house, which is said to be the oldest continuously
inhabited house in the U.K. It was the home of Lucy Boston who wrote the Green
Knowe children's books and also houses her collection of patchwork quilts.
Everyone (member and non-member) is welcome to join us.
