ERTF conference on 19 March 2016 - booking closes 7 March

The ERTF "Get Knotted" conference closes for booking on 7 March 2016.  Visit the main Eastern Region Textile Forum for a booking form and details of how to book.  The conference is open to members and non-members and will be held at Hemingford Abbots Golf and Conference Centre, Huntingdon, PE28 2HQ and will be held on Saturday 19 March 2016.

There will be time to network during the day in coffee/lunch breaks and  an opportunity to take part in an activity or workshop.  The guest speaker is "knotologist" Wendy Elizabeth, whose website can be found HERE.

Open Arts2 Exhibition - March 2016

ERTF member, Jenny Leslie is one of the artists exhibiting at the OpenArts2 exhibition in Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire at the Town Hall Cafe Gallery. The exhibition is open throughout March before performances in the theatre and on Saturday 5th March

Come and meet Jenny on Saturday 4th March between 10 and 12, for coffee or tea and look at the art work which includes Jenny's textiles.

"Get Knotted" - ERTF AGM and Spring Conference - Saturday, 19 March 2016

Booking forms and full information regarding the ERTF AGM and spring conference on Saturday 19 March 2016, are now available on the ERTF website.  The conference will be held at Hemingford Abbots Golf and Conference Centre, Huntingdon, PE28 2HQ.

There will be time to network during the day in coffee/lunch breaks and  taking part in an activity or workshop will give you :-
 
A chance to get to know other members in the group.
 
Find out who works in a similar discipline to yourself.
 
Realise how diverse the group is.
 
A chance to talk about exhibiting – especially if you are not confident with doing this.
 
The best thing is that we all have an enjoyable and fun time together making new friends.

Our speaker will be, Wendy Elizabeth.

Wendy is a ‘Knotologist’ and a member of the International Guild of Knot Tyers  who has a flair for the unusual and a natural ability for tying knots into imaginative and original designs without the use of patterns.  Taking inspiration from the natural, ancient and modern worlds she makes macrame and Chinese knot jewellery, clothes, accessories, furnishings, sculptures and masks.
