Gateway - lace exhibition at Forge Mill Needle Museum - 2nd May to 2nd June 2015

Some ERTF members are also members of the '98 Lace Group, an international fellowship of lacemakers.  They are exhibiting at the Forge Mill Needle Museum and Bordesley Abbey Visitor Centre, Redditch for the month of May.

The museum itself is well worth a visit, and gives a fascinating insight into how such a tiny instrument (the needle) is made.  It is a complicated process which, although modernised and much safer nowadays, has not been changed over many centuries.

Visit to Fitzwilliam Museum for ERTF members - Thurs 16 April 2015

ERTF members can now book for a visit to the Fitzwilliam Museum on Thursday 16th April.  There will be a talk on "Greek Island Embroideries".

Talk in Cambridge for ERTF members (12 September 2014)

All members are invited to a light-hearted talk  by Cambridge based mixed media artist Hilary Sugai who will show her work. This will take place on  Friday 12th September at  7.30 pm. 

                                          
Hilary  is a textile tutor at Rowan Humberstone. She lived in Japan for some years and now often runs art workshops in Spain. She has a wide experience of Art as Therapy  and is currently exploring Recycled Art. She is an exciting and dynamic speaker so it should be an entertaining evening.

 The cost is £5 per person and will include nibbles
